The skills, knowledge and experiences from taking up a part-time job while you study, will certainly boost your credentials in the eyes of your future employers.
Getting yourself a part-time job will truly help in your international education. It is really encouraged that you try working and studying in Singapore. There are quite a number of work permit for you to apply for so that you are able to find a part-time job.
International students are allowed to work for a maximum of 16 hours a week while attending a college or university. They must have a Work Pass Exemption and all other necessary requirements to make work and study in Singapore possible.

Training Work Permit – it is mainly for foreign students studying in private educational institutions in Singapore. Students can apply under this category if they are paid a monthly basic salary of more than SGD 2,500 and/or hold an acceptable tertiary/ professional qualification.

The Training Employment Pass – is mainly for foreigners undergoing practical training attachments or internships for professional, managerial, executive or specialist jobs in Singapore.

Undergraduates The training attachment in Singapore must be part of the trainee’s degree programme from an acceptable educational institution.

The student must be earning an SGD 2,500 monthly fixed salary.

The country also has a Work Holiday Programme that allows undergraduates to live, work and study in Singapore for six months.
